Initial appointments last for approximately 1 hour. This time is to complete a full history and assessment of the client’s physical needs. After which we will set goals, devise a treatment plan together and arrange any equipment needs. Follow up appointments may be for 40 minutes depending on the client’s needs. We can discuss this at the end of the client’s initial assessment.
People can self-refer, or a family member or carer might refer on behalf of their relative or client , or a health professional could make a referral. If self-referring, we suggest that before booking, we discuss your needs, to ensure that this is right for you. On discharge we are happy to complete a report summary that details the client main problems, input and progress made, plus any information regards any potential future needs. This will be sent to the client, and with the client’s permission to your GP.
If you are unable to keep a booked appointment, please contact us via telephone or email giving us as much notice as possible. You may incur the full cost of the cancelled appointment if you provide less than 24 hours notice. Payment can be made online, via bank transfer or cheque. Any additional charges, e.g., for the purchase of equipment will only be made on the agreement with the client.
